Laser Lipo FAQ

If you're thinking about trying laser liposuction, you've probably already done a lot of research, but you may also still have a lot of questions. These are some of the most common questions that people ask our chiropractors at Superior Healthcare in Metairie, LA, about the procedure.

Will I Lose Weight?

Laser lipo is best used as a way to remove fat from specific areas. While you can expect to see a visible reduction in fat in the area that is targeted, there is usually less than a pound of actual weight loss. This procedure is best for people with a few problem areas, not those who want to lose a large amount of weight.

Will It Hurt?

The procedure is completely painless. Some patients will complain about a tingling or numb sensation in the area, but this tends to go away within minutes of the procedure being over. It is recommended that people who undergo this procedure drink a lot of water afterward to help their bodies flush the excess fat from their intestines.

How Long Is Recovery?

It's possible to go back to work, work out at the gym, or participate in just about any other normal activity as soon as the procedure is over. That's one of the best advantages of doing laser liposuction, there is virtually no downtime.

When Will I Be Able to See Results?

This can vary from person to person, but most patients can notice a difference in the area affected by the laser within a few days. In some cases, it may take multiple treatments to see results.
